Important information for reliable measurements

The VM128 is an advanced tool for quickly mapping moisture problems and variations. To properly interpret the results, we recommend the following:

  • It's an indication: The meter indicates that moisture is present and where it's located, but does not legally determine if flooring can be installed.
  • Not a replacement for CM testing: For 100% certainty with screeds, the Calcium Carbide test remains the standard. Use the VM128 to determine where to perform that test.
  • Consult an expert when in doubt: Do you see high values that you cannot explain? Consult a moisture specialist.
